FAQ
Common questions:
Q: What difference does a spray booth make for kitchen cabinet refinishing?
A: A LOT!! When we are working in the spray booth we have a cross breeze going which prevents boogers, dust, fuzzies, etc landing on a wet surface. The bake cycle allows us to "bake" your finish on so it's harder, more durable and smoother than a finish not done in a spray booth. A makeshift spray booth and an exhaust fan simply aren't the same.
Q: What's the difference between Envirolak and something like Benjamin Moore ScuffX?
A: Envirolak was formulated for professionals for wood coatings use. We can tint the primer to match the paint regardless of how dark it is which helps the topcoat cover better. Both primer and topcoat are a 2K system which means hardener is added. Harder, more durable and smoother finish!
Q: What is the difference between kitchen cabinet painting and kitchen cabinet refinishing?
A: There are major difference between kitchen cabinet painting and refinishing from the installation process to materials used. Most people who paint cabinets use a locally sourced trim paint meant for interior walls or trim, while a refinisher uses something actually designed for kitchens and hard use. Paint has a short lifespan and sets up the homeowner into a cycle that requires repainting every 3-5 years due to coating failure . A refinisher can give you a true wood coating that will last double even triple that due to its ability to withstand kitchen chemicals, grease and daily wear and tear. We scoured the market to find the best wood coatings product that was safe for the environment, yet able to hold up to the daily grind of the typical family kitchen. The product we chose gets baked on in our state of the art spray booth. This provides you with a factory style finish that you can be proud of.
Q: How do I compare "apples to apples" with another company that paints cabinets?
A: Honestly, you can't! We have the right products (color matched primer and topcoat) plus hardener, the spray booth and cabinets are pretty much all we do, like 95% of our work. This is our niche and we are amazing at it!
Q. Can you refinish kitchen cabinets that are oak or veneer?
A. Yes, the majority of the kitchens we do are oak. They finish up beautifully!!!
Q. Can I choose any color I'd like for the kitchen cabinet refinishing?
A: Yes, we can custom match almost anything in the Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore lines so that alone limits you to about 5500+ colors.
Q. Do you require a deposit for my kitchen cabinet refinishing project?
A. Yes. 50% down before we start and the remainder due on completion.
Q. Do you take credit cards?
A. Yes and it's no additional fee
Q. Are you licensed & insured?
