SHELLY: You know.....name on sign.....Shelly. That's me and I really am the boss. I'm not the best at any one thing. More often than not I'm told what to do and how to do it the right way. My go-to swear word is "sugar smacks". I tell the girls I'm leaving....bye, see ya later......then come back in at least 2 more times. It's so bad they've started to time how long it takes me to come back in again. Love what we do though and totally love and appreciate each of the girls.
AMANDA: Boss's daughter but also the best sprayer EVER!! When you've been doing 7+ projects a week for a few years you get to be truly amazing at what you do. So, if you like your glass-like finish on your doors and drawers she's the one to thank.
JESSICA: She's the shop leader and I couldn't have asked for a better one. They say to hire your weakness and that's the truth with her. We are running more smoothly than ever due to her ability to organize us like we've never been organized before. I've tried to stop groveling at her feet for what an excellent job she does but simply impressed over and over again with her abilities.
HANNAH: you won't see much of her at the shop as she's the office manager and works remotely. So incredibly grateful for what she brings to the team. She's made it that we can get a perspective client a price in less than 2 days which is great. She brings great knowledge regarding running a business and using the proper on-line tools like Google Sheets. She just laughs when I ask her how she does things and just says "this is my mojo".
DEB: She's the backbone of the prep ladies. She patiently does her job while being constantly interrupted with questions from new ladies that she also does the training with. She's meticulous with how she does her job and nothing slips past her. So incredibly grateful to have her as part of the team.
JESS: she is the queen of putting things back together. If it's something she's unfamiliar with she's relentless with finding answers to questions. It's fun watching her process things when she's figuring out a solution. When I struggled getting my own cabinet doors back up she's the one I had come over......she's uh-mazing!!
JULIE: we painted Julie's cabinets a few years ago. When she saw I was hiring she applied and we are so grateful to have her. About a month into her employment I asked what she thought now that she's been on both sides of things. Immediate response was "I'm surprised you don't charge more". Wonderful lady and a huge asset to the team.
LIZA: she's our can-do-most-everything person. She gets doors/drawers down plus hangs them again. She may also be in your home painting the housing. I love how she's always bringing in little things that could make things go smoother at the shop. She's sees what will help and does something about it.
KATHY: a bit newer addition to the team but she's a great fit! Another person where we did their cabinets and then she came to work for us. I think these are some great people to have as part of the team as it truly gives them the perspective of being both the client and later the employee.
TIA: Apparently when Tia's in charge of the radio there's some loud 80's music playing and a bit of a dance party while the ladies are working. She's the baby of the group but super hard worker and does a wonderful job.
JILL: she's been around the longest but works the least. Just grateful for an extra set of hands for her 3 hours a week. Sometimes that's all it takes to tip the skills with feeling like we're not behind.....lol!
MATT: weird story as to how we get to chatting at the paint store but one thing led to another and here we are with a guy painter. Matt's got 20+ years experience in painting and has an amazing knowledge with how to get things done efficiently and beautifully.
GREG: He's our second guy painter and he came to us from a local high end painting contractor. Apparently a little less stress was what he was looking for. He is a truly amazing painter. The amount of attention he pays to tiny details is impressive. He's also allowing us to now offer sprayed housing in the home in addition to the brush and roll we've offered for years.
NICOLE: I feel like Nicole and I go way back. It's been an interesting journey but it's been a great one. Overjoyed to have her as part of the team again as a painter in the home. Highly skilled and great attention to detail.
RANDY: last but for sure not least. He's the marketing guru behind what we do. If you see the ads on FB or other places he's the one behind that. This website-he's behind that. Very grateful to have someone that understands the ins and outs of marketing.
